Two hour workshop at Hummingbird Studio in Mount Dora. Create a colorful image using the traditional Japanese Collage technique.
 

Reed Diffuser - 3D Resin Art Small Landscape

Working with mixed materials and acrylic paint on layers of UV Resin we achieve a 3D effect.

This is a 4 hour workshop with a half hour break. Feel free to bring a light lunch.

Chigiri-e Sunflowers

Japanese collage technique using colored mulberry paper on heavyweight Mixed media paper.
All materials provided.

3D Resin Coasters

We will decorate a glass coaster using acrylic paints and mica powder with resin to create a Cloisonne effect.
 

Chigiri-e Pets

Three hour workshop at Hummingbird Studio. Make a portrait of your pet using colored torn paper. Attendees need to email a picture of their pet by Sept 10  to get everything ready for the workshop.

Japanese Art of cord knotting used to decorate envelopes, accessories and ornaments.

Shibori is the technique that dyes cotton using folds , gathering and even wood shapes clamp together to achieve interesting designs.

We will work with two kitchen towels or two napkins .

Silk Painting Shibori Technique

This workshop will cover some basic techniques used in Shibori to color scarves. But if you have already done some shibori, this workshop can cover new techniques for you. Each student will have the opportunity to paint one scarf and take home unique wearable art.

Chigiri-e on Canvas Tote

Two hour workshop, we will use colored mulberry paper to create a colorful designs on a canvas tote.

Seihon and Chigiri-e (Japanese Bookbinding and Collage)

Learn Japanese style bookbinding with our guest sensei Sue and then embellish the cover using torn colored paper with Japanese style Collage

Working with acrylic paint on layers of resin we achieve a 3D effect. This is a 4 day Workshop, 2 hour classes on Tuesdays and Fridays due to the time resin needs to cure.

Lacemaking - Tatting all levels
 

This 3 hour workshop is for all levels, we will cover the basics of lace making using a tatting shuttle and cotton thread and have patterns for the more advanced.
Materials provided, if you have a shuttle and thread that you want to work with, you are welcome to bring it.

Temari

Learn how to make Traditional Japanese Temari Balls. Basic Pattern for beginners and other patterns for intermediate and advanced levels. Color threaded ball will be provided ready to start working on the design.
All materials provided, 3 hour workshop.
